Stay Home, Stay Safe | Executive Order No. 2020-21

All Michigan businesses and operations must temporarily suspend in-person operations that are not necessary to sustain or protect life. This order is in effect through April 13, 2020, at 11:59 p.m.

MDA Recommendation for Dental Offices
The MDA supports the temporary postponement of all non-essential dental procedures until the state of emergency outlined in section 3 of executive order 2020-4 is no longer in effect.

NOTE: It does not expire with the Stay Home, Stay Safe Executive Order No. 2020-21.

This is a very confusing and uncertain time for all of us.  Everyone in our office is doing their best to follow the guidelines and mandates put forth by the government to help slow the spread of COVID-19.  This means we are not in the office at this time, but we can be reached by phone (586) 775-1490 or email:  snyderdds586@gmail.com.

Our office is still available for dental emergencies. What constitutes an "emergency" has evolved over the past few weeks - moving closer to only severe cases should be seen.

Dr. Snyder is the best person to assess what is an "emergency".  Do not hesitate to contact us, even if your problem isn't constant, or you feel uncertain if it is serious enough - we care, and want to be able to help!

If you are an established patient and are experiencing any unusual dental pain, bleeding, had a tooth fracture, or have any symptoms that are causing you concern - please call our office number (586) 775-1490 and leave a detailed message, or send an email (be sure to include your phone #).  We will respond as soon as we can.  (note:  the call will come from (586) 204-2075, not the regular office #).

Please don't wait until your symptoms become unmanageable (if possible) - the sooner we are aware a patient is having an issue, the better we will be able to work out a treatment strategy before a situation becomes urgent (usually in the middle of the night!!).  Dr. Snyder is keeping in touch with the specialists she works with, and can refer patients to locations that are still open (most have very limited hours, and multi-location practices typically have only one office working at this time).

Emergency rooms are not equipped to handle dental issues, and we urge our patients to avoid going to urgent care if they can. This will also help prevent extra work for the already over-crowded medical facilities.

Due to the difficulties treating a patient without already having the necessary health history information needed in an emergency, we won't be taking on new patients during this time.

Sending well wishes of health to our patients and their loved-ones,

Jeanne - Office Manager

MDA Guidance on COVID-19

The Michigan Dental Association is strongly recommending that Michigan dentists close their offices beginning March 17 for at least two weeks to patients seeking preventive and elective care, and limit treatment to necessary treatment and patients requiring emergency care.

Our office is following their guidance.

Dr. Snyder will still be available for dental emergencies, however, we don't have set hours for emergency care - we will arrange treatment on a case-by-case basis. If you need urgent care, please call the office phone number (586) 775-1490. Leave a message with your name, phone number, and details of the problem you are experiencing. Phone calls to the office are being forwarded to my personal cell phone, so you should receive a response fairly quickly.

Please be assured, our office is following all infection control procedures. Your health and wellbeing are always our primary concern, and doing our part to keep you safe is of utmost importance to us during this crisis.

Be safe,

Jeanne - Office Manager
